Some good news on our closer today, as it appears there is no need for surgery on his elbow. Here's the latest on J.J. Putz and some of the other walking wounded.
The Diamondbacks placed closer J.J. Putz on the disabled list with a right elbow strain. The team has recalled Will Harris, closer at Triple-A Reno. In 12 games, he has earned two saves and a 4.63 ERA.

Didi Gregorius has been activated from the 7-Day DL, and in the expected corresponding move, Alfredo Marte has been optioned to Reno.
