D-backs MILB Report, 8/18: Offenses wild

Arguably the most insane game of the minor-league season in Visalia: they fell seven behind before coming to the plate...and still won by 13 runs! But it wasn't the heaviest offensive output of the day...

Diamondbacks Minor-League Round-Up, 8/17

Five of the seven Diamondback affiliates won on Saturday, with Brad Snyder leading the offense in Reno, and Sean Furney turning in the day's best pitching performance.

Dbacks MiLB Round-Up, 8/16:

Not a great day for our minor-league teams, as only two of the eight in action were victorious. It seemed to be the offenses who had most issues, the eight sides combining for only 22 runs. Let's break down the results.

Rookie Ball: A Recap of the Missoula Osprey

But every once in a blue moon, I get this urge to see a baseball game up close, so I travel the 50 miles. And today, this game had everything I could ever want to see in a baseball game, great hitting, mediocre pitching, and a bullpen blowup.

Dbacks Minor League Round-Up 7/17: All-Star action

The Triple-A and Double-A All-Star games took place tonight, with plenty of Diamondbacks prospects involved in both events. Elsewhere, not a good night for Missoula, to put it mildly, but Andrew Barbosa had five inning of one-hit ball for Visalia.

Dbacks Minor League Round-Up 7/16: Oh-for-three

A little late, as John has to handle a work emergency. But you didn't miss much, as there were only two D-backs affiliates in action, one with a double-header, and all three games were lost, with our side managing only 10 hits in total over 23 inn.

D-backs Minor League Round-Up 7/2: Owings honored

Not a bad day for Triple-A Reno infielder Chris Owings, as he received multiple recognitions of his performance. Also, there was a combined one-hitter, and our 2013 1st-round pick made his first appearance.

Mobile BayBears Memorabilia Sale

The Diamondbacks' Double-A affiliate in Mobile, the BayBears, are selling some game-used memorabilia and other items, to raise money for their charity wing.

Aces High: Watching Reno in Tucson

Mrs. SnakePit and I made the trip down I-10 yesterday, to see the D-backs Triple-A affiliate Reno Aces, playing their equivalent in the Padres system at Kino Stadium in Tucson.

Dbacks MiLB Round-up: Spruill Silences Padres

There'll be a full report tomorrow on the Padres-Aces game in Tucson, which was attended by a group of cheerful SnakePitters. But let's quickly round up all tonight's action, which saw four of five affiliates in action, come out on top.
