"Created by Environmental Designs in partnership with Coors Light and the Arizona Diamondbacks, this sculpture has been made from recycled Coors Light aluminum cans and other upcycled materials. It stands as a reminder today that creating a more sustainable world is an impactful and important mission." Because who doesn't like beer and the hope for a better future? The sculpture was designed by Phoenix based artist John Nelson and was unveiled on July 21st. Still no word on if the sculpture will retract into the floor during a series against the Colorado Rockies.

I just thought this would be cool to share with the community. I went to SRF yesterday with the intention on getting the Goldschmidt bobblehead signed. While there I found a practice ball lying quietly in the grass which I naturally picked up to occupy myself. When I was walking to the practice fields, I saw a HOF'er much taller than myself out of the corner of my eye. Obviously , I figured the only thing better than a practice ball I found the ground was if that was signed too. I can't wait for the season to begin :)
Very nice penmanship to be sure, but PollAck? THomas? Ouch. On the plus side, he gets credit for remembering the acute over the a in Yasmany's last name!
Diamondbacks' minor-leaguer Ryan Burr got a nasty surprise yesterday, when his truck was on the receiving end of a fly-ball. He posted this pic to his Instagram, and the culprit 'fessed up in a reply there. It was Oscar Hernandez, who said, "Sorry papi, it was an accident!" Hopefully, a sign of more power in 2017 from Hernandez...

To mark the upcoming SuperBowl, A.J. posted his winter 2003 report card on Instagram. As he says, "Dad always knew how to motivate me. The Red sharpie thru the Pats tickets was a dagger!" Guess we know who he'll be supporting this weekend...
