Diamondbacks Game Reports

D-backs 5, Rockies 0: Bradley fans 6 in three inns

The long awaited, postponed debut of Archie Bradley proved thoroughly satisfactory tonight, as he held a full-strength Rockies line-up to one hit over three scoreless innings, with six strikeouts. That'll do, kid. That'll do.

Diamondbacks 2, Angels 3: Reviewing review

Brandon McCarthy pitched five scoreless innings, and we got to see what instant replay will look like. First impression: kinda boring.

D-backs 3, Giants 5: Bad Ziegler spoils the day

Wade Miley was effective enough, holding the Giants to one run over four innings in his first start of spring. Brad Ziegler? Not so much.

Diamondbacks 2, Brewers 1 (F/5): Spring Rain-ing

Bad weather wreaked havoc across much of the Cactus League this afternoon. At Salt River Fields, the start was delayed, and a halt was eventually called in the bottom of the fifth inning.

D-backs 0, Rockies 11: Can't hit, pitch or field

This is the kind of game for which spring training was invented. Even MLB Gameday gave up in the middle of the sixth inning, its operator having presumably gnawed a limb off to escape. What time do tomorrow's contests start?

D-backs 5/3, Cubs 2/Dodgers 4: Chavez Clubs Cubs

Our main squad spoiled the opening of the Cubs' new park in Mesa, behind our first homer of spring, by Eric Chavez, but the B-team couldn't hold on to an early lead, and lost by the odd run in seven against the Dodgers in Camelback.

Diamondbacks 4, Dodgers 1: Baseball is back

It's like it never went away. And if 2014 continues in this vein, there won't be many complaints. The D-backs tagged Clayton Kershaw for the loss, rapping out 12 hits as they won their Cactus League opener at Salt River Fields this afternoon.

D-backs 0, Nationals 2: ex-D-backs burn D-backs

it was a happy return to Chase Field for both Dan Haren and Chad Tracy this evening, as they played key roles in the Nationals' victory. The defeat means Arizona need to win in their final game tomorrow, to match last season's win tally of 81.

Diamondbacks 2, Padres 12: Nope

The Diamondbacks pitching was fully thwarted by the Padres offense on Wednesday, getting crushed to the tune of a 12-2 score.

Diamondbacks 2, Padres 1: A Pitcher's Duel

Tonight, I gave the Dbacks an ultimatum: Don't make me regret not watching the premier of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. live. In the end, they didn't.
