Gameday Threads

Spring Training Games #7 + #8: Gameday Thread

The third split-squad day on the schedule, but this one should go better than the half a game managed on Saturday. Brandon McCarthy starts on TV this afternoon, and Archie Bradley will hopefully do the same at Salt River Fields tonight.

Spring Training Games #6 (again!) Gameday Thread

The forecast gives a much lower chance of rain this afternoon than it did in the morning, so hopefully it won't be such a precipitation cluster as we saw yesterday, as we take on San Francisco in Scottsdale.

Spring Training Games #5 + #6 Gameday Thread

Another double-dip into the Diamondbacks, but at least they don't have to travel. It's a Salt River double-header, with the Brewers first in for the afternoon contest, and then the Cubs come to visit in the evening - Archie Bradley starts the latter.

Spring Training Games #2 + #3 Gameday Thread

One game of baseball not enough of you? Let's play two! The D-backs will be covering both ends of Maricopa County today, heading west to face the Dodgers again, and kicking things off down in Mesa against the Cubs.

Spring Training Game #1: Gameday Thread

The first Diamondbacks game of 2014, and the smell of new-mown grass and hope fills the air!

Arizona Fall League Gameday Thread

Might be the last gameday thread for 2013, unless the Salt River Rafters can catch the Mesa Solar Sox in the final week and make the championship game next Saturday. It's the last instant replay trial game, and is on the MLB Network.

Playoff GDT, #26: Cardinals on verge of extinction

My fellow SnakePitters. I come to you with a serious message. In just a few short hours, the 2013 major-league baseball season may be over, and sporting darkness will descend on the face of the Earth.

Post-season Gameday Thread, #25: Crunch time

This series is now effective a best of three, so the winner is going to fly back to Boston needing just one more win, while the loser will enter win-or-die mode.

Post-season GDT, #24: Obstruction Time Again

Well, that was certainly an interesting way to end a World Series game. First to end on an error since the infamous Buckner game in 1986, which also sent the Red Sox to defeat. How did that World Series end again?

Post-season Gameday Thread #23: Arch Rivals

There'll be no sweep for Boston this time, as they lost their first World Series game in 27 years on Thursday. Mind you, the Cubs haven't lost a World Series game in 68 years...
