Diamondbacks Game Reports

Diamondbacks 8, Brewers 9: Re-running 2013

Arizona surrendered leads of 2-0, 6-2 and 8-7 this afternoon, Milwaukee tying the game in the ninth and walking it off in the 10th. Brad Ziegler and Bo Schultz both were tagged with blown saves. Get them all out of your system now, lads...

Diamondbacks 3, Mariners 6: Bradley does badly

The Archie Bradley Hypemobile may not have dropped its transmission, but it certainly hit a nasty pothole this afternoon at Salt River Fields.

D-backs 6, Rockies 4: Miley more than competent

Another good outing from Wade Miley helped propel the D-backs to a sweep of the split-squad games today, with Aaron Hill and Miguel Montero powering the offense.

D-backs 9, Dodgers 2: B-boys blowout billionaires

The next time we face Los Angeles, it'll be in Sydney for Opening Day. I think we would very happily settle for a repeat of this afternoon's result, as our B-squad wiped the floor with a starting line-up of Dodgers regulars.

ARI 1, CLE 7: Cahill hurt, we get Frenchy fried

Hard to see how this could have gone much worse. Starting pitcher Trevor Cahill struggled again and had to leave with an injury, we had almost as many TOOTBLANs as hits, and managed to score just once. At least we lost to our favorite other player

Diamondbacks 3, Mariners 3: Fit to be tied (again)

Ok, I know Tom Hanks said there's no tying in baseball - I think - but that's now three of the past six games the D-backs have played, that ended indecisively.

D-backs 2, Padres 2: Didn't win or lose, had fun

You know what the worst thing about attending a spring training game is? It's coming home, and the wait to discover the location of the fragment of flesh which missed out on the sunblock. Earlobe? Ankle? Forehead. There's always one...

Diamondbacks 6/5, White Sox 4/Angels 2: Double W

Arizona got their Cactus League record back above .500 this afternoon, sweeping its split-squad games against Chicago and Anaheim, with Archie Bradley adding 3.1 more scoreless innings to his spring tally.

D-backs 0, A's 2: Recap of Epic Awesome

Goldy posting up 15 hr's in one game? Yup, just as I had foreseen. OK, that above line item never happened, but when "watching" a game through MLB At Bat exaggerations can be expected. Especially when it's a snooze-fest.

Diamondbacks 8, Athletics 8: The Eight Escape

Ah, the tie. One of the quirks of spring traning and meaningless baseball is that it's possible for games to end in a tie. Something not seen in MLB since... er, the 2002 All-Star Game. No thanks to Trevor Cahill, however.
