Hernandez, who turns 22 on July 9, hit .211 (8-for-38) with 3 doubles and 3 RBI in 13 rehab games with Triple-A Reno and Single-A Kane County. He was selected by the D-backs in the 2014 Rule 5 Draft after spending the previous 5 seasons in the Tampa Bay Rays' farm system (2010-14). Hernandez, who suffered the hand injury in early March, has thrown out 43.6 percent (99-for-227) of attempted basestealers in his Minor League career.
Stites, 25, appeared in 2 games with the D-backs in 2015 (1.1 IP) after starting the season on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation. Dorn, 30, made 22 appearances with Arizona this season, going 5-for-29 (.172) with 1 double and 3 RBI. Gosewisch, 31, suffered his knee injury running to first base in the sixth inning on May 27 @ Cardinals, and was placed on the 15-day disabled list the following day.
