An effective, if not exactly pretty, start from Rubby De La Rosa tonight. He ended up going five and two-thirds innings, only allowing two runs thanks entirely to a two-run homer, six hits, and seven strike outs. He left the game with a lead thanks mostly to Nick Ahmed going opposite field with a two-run home run of his own, putting the Dbacks up 3-2 at the time Rubby left the game.
That lead wasn't going to stick around long, though. In the seventh, Enrique Burgos had a very rough outing, where he faced only four batters, three of whom reached, and one scored. That tied the game in the seventh and there it would stay until the tenth inning. David Hernandez had just come into the ball game, and almost immediately gave up a solo home run to Howie Kendrick. Then he gave up a two-out, two-run double to lengthen the Dodgers lead.
The Diamondbacks got to Kenley Jansen though in the bottom of the inning. Peralta walked, Goldy doubled making the score 6-4, and bringing the tying run to the plate in the form of Yasmany Tomas. Sadly, he took a called strike three to end the game. 6-4 is your final, Dodger win.
