AAA: Reno - All Star break
AA: Mobile 7 @ Mississippi 6. The Bay Bears rallied from a 6-2 deficit and won it in the 10th inning on a Jake Lamb RBI double. Jimmie Sherfy got the win with a perfect 9th inning and Kyle Anderson earned his first save with a clean 10th. Lamb was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. Mobile lacked a starter for the game and went the first 8 innings with 4 different relievers going 2 innings each. The results left a little to be desired as those 4 relievers walked 10 batters and allowed 6 runs before the comeback. Steve Rodriguez went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.
A+ Visalia 1 Inland Empire 11. An awful game for the Rawhide as starter got knocked out in the 4th inning and the relief corps got bounced around as well. The offense only managed 4 hits.
A: South Bend 6 @ Fort Wayne 11. Markus Solback got tagged for 6 runs in 4 innings and 3 relievers who followed each surrendered runs of their own. Andrew Velazquez extended his on base streak to 73 games with a walk in the 6th inning. He was hitless in his other 4 plate appearances. Breland Almadova led the 6-hit attack with 2 hits including a double and his 6th home run while driving in 3.
A-: Hillsboro 2 Tri-City 0. Ben Eckles was very sharp tossing 7 shutout innings on 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 11. Dustin Loggins pitched the final 2 innings to keep the shutout intact on 2 hits and 2 strikeouts. The offense did just enough with 2 runs on 6 hits. Grant Heyman led the way going 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.
R: Missoula 2 @ Orem 8. The Osprey got creamed when starter Brad Keller had another stinker allowing 5 runs on 7 hits and didn't get out of the 4th inning. The offense came up with just 5 hits.
AZL: Dbacks 1 @ Angels 5. Not much good happening at Salt River Field even though Yefrey Ramirez was decent allowing 2 runs over 5 innings with 7 strikeouts. The offense had 6 hits with 2 coming from Jacob Cordero.
