Part of me hopes something happens, if purely because I'm doing the recap tonight. It's a lot easier to come up with 1,000 words when there's a meaty incident on which to focus, than if you're stuck trying to find synonyms for "bullpen meltdown", "poor clutch hitting" or "starter home-runs allowed". However, selfish literary interests aside, I strongly suspect nothing much will occur. The Brewers have bigger fish to fry, and will probably prefer to focus on grinding out another win. For Arizona, I imagine it's all done and dusted. Garza has has his issues before, but anyone who dislikes Johnnie Cueto is likely to be appreciated by Arizona fans this year...
Worth noting, a loss tonight would send us 15 games below .500 for the first time this year - we're currently tied with our record on April 29, when we were 8-22. Our recent slump has seen us drop back to the worst record in the National League, though we are still 1.5 games ahead of the Rays, for the major-league cellar. But, we also remain half a game back of the Padres, so if they lose and we win, we won't be last in the West any more. Seem to have been saying that for a while: while it has pretty much been that way for a week, we've both lost six out of seven games, so the D-backs just haven't been able to make a move.
Just be interesting tonight, Diamondbacks. Take that however you want!
