Putz to DL, Evan Marshall Called Up

Finally, our supposed relief depth will finally get to make their mark at the big-league level. After an impressive April where Evan only allowed 1 run in 16 2/3 innings, struck out more than 10 batters per 9 IP, and they've called him up to replace JJ on the big league roster and provide solid support for a group that's been very overused to start out the season. Evan is a RHP with a fastball between 93-95 mph, a plus change-up, and an average slider. He was taken in the 4th round out of Kansas State where he pitched exclusively out of the bullpen for the Wildcats. Depending on how he does with the Diamondbacks, he may have a good shot to stay up and provide solid relief for the squad in 2014 and beyond.
