I just saw on Clubhouse Confidential that Baseball Info Solutions projects the Diamondbacks as the Number 2 team in all of baseball this upcoming season in terms of Defensive Runs Saved.
1. Royals- 54 DRS
2. Diamondbacks- 41 DRS
3. Tigers- 26 DRS
Thoughts on this? Obviously with Trumbo in left every day as opposed to Eaton it probably makes our defense a bit worse than what it was last year at least in terms of outfield range all the way around and I always thought we were in the Top 5 of defensive teams in the Majors but for it to be this much of a gap between the top two teams and the rest of the pack kind of surprised me. This makes me appreciate Parra so much more, he probably is the best outfield defender in the whole game, considering he's won 2 gold gloves without having great offensive stats to sway voters. Also lead the league along with Andrelton Simmons in DRS last year(41, a record for the 11 year history of the stat)
