Adam Eaton's Imminent Return to the Diamondbacks

Manager Kirk Gibson announced on KTAR this afternoon that Adam Eaton will be leading off and playing in center field for the Diamondbacks tonight.

Center fielder Adam Eaton has been on the disabled list since March 22nd with his left elbow injury. He has been playing in rehab games with Class A Visalia and Triple-A Reno and is ready to return to the big leagues. Eaton was 23-for-90 with five doubles, two homers, and eight stolen bases in 26 rehab games, including rookie league in Scottsdale.

Pitcher Charles Brewer was optioned back to Reno.
