Dbacks 5, Nationals 7

The offenses did its part tonight with 14 hits however the pitching didn't fare so well as Trevor Cahill had a meltdown and gave up 6 earned runs over 5 innings pitched. Paul Goldschmidt continued his stellar hitting by going 3-5 with an RBI. Aaron Hill looked good in his return from the DL going 2-4 and scoring twice.

The Washington Nationals had a good day on offense as well with 11 hits. Ex-Dback Adam LaRoche had a good day at the plate going 3-4 with 1HR and 3 RBI. Nationals starter Gio Gonzalez had a good start as well giving up 2 earned runs over 6.1 innings.

This game was a kind of a slug fest. The Dbacks fought their hardest to comeback from the deficit but fell short with a score of 5-7.
