The Diamondbacks started game two of the double header with a quick, and I mean quick, 2-0 lead. The Rangers scored bit by bit and were ahead in the 8th inning when Didi smashed a game-tying two-run home run to right field. That ruined what had been an amazing 14-K night for Yu Darvish.
Miguel Montero led off the bottom of the 9th inning with a double to right field. After one out and an intentional walk, it was Cliff Pennington at the plate who redeemed himself from his earlier. He sent the crowds home happy with a hit just down the first base line, easily scoring Montero.
Thus the Diamondbacks sweep the Rangers in this Memorial Day double-header.
