Derek Jeter, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, and Joe Montana...these four athletes are some of the best, if not the best players of all time and of their respective sport. Their hard work, leadership ability, and in game excellence earned each one Captain status of some of the greatest championship sports teams in history. Lets move now to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Since the first season in 1998 we have seen many captain quality players come through the dugout at BOB/Chase Field. The list of qualified "C"s for the Dbacks throughout the team's short history is not lacking. Luis Gonzalez, Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Jay Bell, Tony Womack, Matt Williams, Steve Finley come to mind. What about now? Who on this roster is going to lead the club to future success in the sport? There are some great young players on this roster with huge upward potential but do the Dbacks have that guy? That leader? I think so.
