The list is led by Jurickson Profar - that'd be the reason we couldn't pry him away from Texas - with Dylan Bundy the top-ranked pitcher, at #2. As noted, Tyler Skaggs is in at #12, a couple of spots above former Diamondback prospect, Trevor Bauer. The next Arizona player ranked is pitcher Archie Bradley, at #25: It's worth noting that these are the only two players from any team in the National League West in the top forty, which was a surprise, given the likes of San Diego are generally perceived to have a good farm system. Instead, the next NL West team to be mentioned are the Dodgers, who have left-handed pitcher Hyu Jin-Ryu at #42.

Down at the lower end of the list, we see Adam Eaton at #73, with Didi Gregorius making it in at #80, and potential third baseman of the future, Matt Davidson rounding out the list at #88. The five players Arizona has it the best in the division, with the Padres getting four listed, the Colorado Rockies three, the Dodgers two - and the poor Giants have only one name worth mentioning, pitcher Kyle Crick at #66. Gregorius is the tenth-ranked shortstop: interestingly, just behind Nick Franklin (#79), who was one of the names that might have been involved in the trade for Justin Upton to Seattle, before that got vetoed.

Here's the full list. Interesting to compare it to the 2012 edition: that had Bauer at #9 and Skaggs at #13, and of course, there are a few names from high on that list which are no longer eligible (led by the 2012 AL MVP Mike Trout, and NL Rookie of the Year Bruce Harper). Archie Bradley was #25 last season, and Davidson just slid his way on at the bottom, in 9th spot. Both Gregorius and Eaton are new to the list since last season, when the Diamondbacks had just three listed.
