Mark Grace: Diamondbacks "had no choice"

USA Today Sports.

Mark Grace spoke in public for his first time since being arrested for his second DWI in August. The former first-baseman talked to Fox Phoenix while at Diamondbacks fantasy camp on Monday.

The case is currently scheduled for trial on March 19th, and there's a real risk Grace will end up serving significant jail time. Seems like he's going to wait and see what happens there, before making any decisions as to a future direction. However, the team seems open to a return of some kind, Derrick Hall saying in last week's online chat, "We are in constant contact with Gracie... We are interested in speaking with him about future opportunities here, and he knows that. He is important to us and our history."
