It was an interesting year in the Minor Leagues with the Dbacks clearly boasting one of the most-stocked systems in all of baseball. We got to see a number of our top prospects in action this year at the Major League Level with the spigot seeming to be on full blast from that stocked pipeline. Several of those players remain on this list since they'll still retain their rookie status heading into next year. In fact the only prospect who lost their status was Patrick Corbin, though Ryan Wheeler is going to be very close before the season ends. For now he remains on the list.
In my amateur estimation there are no fewer than 20 future Major Leaguers on this list, or at least that I think have a strong capacity to get there. The only changes from the top of the list are that I moved Adam Eaton up a few spots because he's looking like a solid fixture in the outfield for next year, or at worst a good rotation guy. So he goes ahead of Davidson, Holmberg and Owings. I'm sure there will be some debate about that decision considering it has to be said that the jury is still somewhat out on Eaton. So with no further adieu here's my end-of-year list of the Top 60 Prospects in the Diamondbacks' organization.
