Today, our very own, beloved John McDonald...also known as Johnny Mac, turns 38 years old. He has done a great job in the absence of shortstop Willie Bloomquist, who has been sidelined with back spams since mid-August. Johnny Mac has become a fan favourite with many, including myself, for his scrappiness and as of late, his offense. He reminds me a lot of another favourite of mine, Augie Ojeda, in the way he goes about his business, how he always has a smile on his face and a quick wit, and of course, his scrappiness.

In honor of his birthday today, I thought I would post one of my very favourite pictures: One of me taken with Johnny Mac after the first full-squad workout at Salt River Fields earlier this year.
