Man, weren't the Padres just here, like, the day before yesterday? Or perhaps it just seems that way, because by Thursday night, nine of the Diamondbacks' last 24 games will have been against San Diego. Still, the battle for third and fourth place in the National League West - or, the bronze medal, if you will - is in full heat, with the Padres only one and half back. So if they sweep up [and on history this season, that is hardly unlikely], they will overtake us. Ouch. This is not quite the battle I hope we would be fighting in the second half of September.

I'm covering the recap tonight, in an absence of Clefoness. Guess I'll have to watch it then. :)

  1. Adam Eaton LF
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Paul Goldschmidt 1B
  5. Miguel Montero C
  6. Chris Young CF
  7. Chris Johnson 3B
  8. John McDonald SS
  9. Ian Kennedy P

Good to see CY back in the line-up, with Eaton moving to LF against a left-handed pitcher. And apologies for the lack of This Day In D-backs baseball the past couple of days. I came into the office fully intending to write it up, but got distracted by something very exciting, which I can't talk to you about yet. :) You'll find out, probably in a week or so. There, I trust that's mysterious enough. TDiDB will appear after tonight's recap.
