Here's the revised version of the logo, incorporating some of the suggestions made here - most obviously, the ball looks more like a baseball than a cue-ball, and the level of red has been increased as a primary color. Unfortunately, it proved too close to the deadline to be able to add the rattle in a way that looked good, but hopefully, that may still get done at some point down the road.
