Yesterday was a pretty nerve-wracking affair, with the bases consistently inhabited by Astros with a tenacity that would be the envy of Occupy Wall Street - however, they were kept from crossing home-plate, and the offense did just enough to scratch out a very necessary victory/. I'd appreciate a little more effort from the bats today, and if Corbin could avoid clogging up the base-paths with Astros, that wouldn't hurt either. When you go into a game expecting - nay, make that demanding a win, then it's more than slightly disturbing to be outhit by a margin of 11-6, by a team now on course for almost 110 losses.
wailord is out partying like it's 1999 or something (which, in his case would probably mean pizza at Chuck E. Cheese), so I'm 'capping this one.

Still no Kubel, but it looks like his neck is feeling better, and he may well be back in the line-up for the finale tomorrow. Corbin has been excellent of late, and after Miley got back on track yesterday, I'm hoping to see another of Arizona's young guns come oujt with his guns blazing in Texas this afternoon.
