In unexpected injury news, Josh Collmenter has been placed on the 15-day Disabled List with ulcers. The exact nature and severity of the injury is unknown, but it was enough to warrant a DL stint for Josh, and as anybody who has had ulcers can tel you, they are not pleasant in the least, and we hope that Josh makes a full recovery and we see him out there soon!

Brad Bergesen has been called up in his place, and he would presumably become the de facto long reliever in the D'Backs bullpen. He was claimed off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles on July 20th and had one previous stint with the big club, posting a 1.80 ERA in five innings pitched. He was sent back to Reno when the team decided to call up Patrick Corbin.
