UCLA Commit Felipe Perez Signs With DBacks

Felipe Perez, a right handed pitcher who had commited to UCLA, will spurn the school to sign with the DBacks for a reported $400K. Perez was Baseball America's best ranked player to go undrafted, ranking 129 overall. Since he was eligible for the draft but went unselected, he is eligible to sign with any team, but this transaction has walked the fine line of ethics since Perez was set to head to UCLA, but backed out last minute.
