Talk about an anticlimax.
Such a letdown that we were apparantly unable to stop the front office juggernaut and ended up trading Crag Breslow before they could get it under control.
Can someone please explain to me what other possible rationale there is for dealing Breslow? I can't see Albers for Breslow as anything but a downgrade. Even assuming some positive value from Posednick ,it still zero to a first approximation.
The premise that this was some sort of preparation for a Garza deal with the Cubs is just laughable. You will never convince me that Posednick was the final chip in the deal for the Cubs. Do we really distrust our kids so much that we couldn't use one as a 4th outfielder if CY or Parra was in the mix? Filling the spot in Reno required such skill that we couldn't find a semi-warm body somewhere without giving away a very servicable bullpen lefty?
