Sutton Conspiracy Silences Snake Pit

I have to ask why the thread on Sutton's disappearance has been closed, given that it was extremely active, and seemed to serve the purpose of allowing people to express their feelings on this very significant and unresolved issue pertaining to our favorite team.

I think that Daron was given much love on that thread, particularly compared to pretty much every other website. The fact is, the posts on that thread were made by people like me who LIKE Daron, who want to see him RETURN, and who just want to get some ANSWERS as to why he's been kicked off the air.

This issue needs to be KEPT ALIVE so someone can't just conveniently bury it in the sand, and sure, that may require hanging on Derrick Hall's every tweet, or trying to make sense of what's going on by postulating different theories in the absence of evidence, but so what? How was it determined that the constructive dialogue had come to an end just because we were purposely being kept in the dark? Are all the other hundreds of threads on this website really so much more grounded? I think the dialogue itself was important - it exists nowhere else - and without that conversation we have nothing to show our support. What transgression is worse than ignoring the plight of those in need?

Blue Bulldog made a compelling post about how the British supported their own when they cheered Andy Murray at the conclusion of his match with Federer. Well, here we have one of our own, Daron Sutton, and we're going to do worse than boo him, we're going to shut him out completely and pretend he never existed.

One of the last posts on the closed Sutton thread was someone suggesting that the theories being put forward sounded too much like a conspiracy. Well, what is a conspiracy other than a group of people acting secretively to accomplish a politically-motivated goal? In this case, we seemingly have everyone associated with the Dbacks organization conscripted to silence, along with the Fox national network, sponsors, and from what I can tell, MLB network. To what degree the media are also being manipulated is also an open question, with disappearing headlines and reports, and apparently no one investigating the story at this point. And now, the last bastion of fan support, the Snake Pit, seems to have been affected, maybe because certain members who are in the know don't want wayward rumors coming from here. But I say those people are missing the big picture.

Daron Sutton is a good person, of that I have no doubt, and I can't tell you how much I miss his analysis. Nothing he could have done deserves the treatment that the rest of the world, and now the Snake Pit, have given him. All it would take to solve all of this is a shred of honesty by somebody. Why is that so hard to come by?
