The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today they have recalled right-handed pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo from Triple-A Reno and placed left-handed pitcher Joe Saunders on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left shoulder (retro to June 17), according to D-backs Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.
— Albaladejo, 29, was 3-1 with a 2.64 ERA (9 ER in 30.2 IP), 13 saves and a .190 (20-for-105) opponents average with the Aces in 2012. He ranks second among Pacific Coast League relievers in opponents average and is tied for third in saves.
