A fabulous start by rookie Patrick Corbin was nearly derailed by lack of offense and David Hernandez. But Aaron Hill hit his 26th home run of the year to send the Diamondbacks to just their second walk-off victory.
John McDonald homered to take the lead in the 7th inning, but Hernandez allowed two Rockies runs in the 8th. That merely set the stage for an Aaron Hill walk-off home run with two outs in the bottom of the 9th, and the Diamondbacks beat the Rockies 5 to 3.
