Which AL team are you rooting for?
So if the Diamondbacks were to make the world series which team would you want them to play, The Rangers, Tigers, or Rays (because no one around here roots for the Yankees. Your decisions can be based on who you want to see or who you think we have the best chance against.
I personally want to see the Diamondbacks face the Tigers. I would like to see a matchup between Ian Kennedy and Justin Verlander. I would also like to see the Diamondbacks break Jose Valverde's saves streak. What are your thoughts?

It depends on whether we're going to beat them
I actually would root for the Yankees if we were assured of beating them. Thumping the Yanks again on baseball’s biggest stage, ten years after we last did it, would be pretty awesome.
If we’re not going to win, on the other hand, I have to root for Tampa Bay — underdogs are always fun to watch.
I don't root
for the Yankees, but I do want to see them make it through the first round of the playoffs, just so the Rays can have the privilage of knocking out both the Red Sox and the Yankees
Reading: It's highly overrated!

I expected to see "Any non-Yankees"
As an option in this poll.
"We have to resist it. Do whatever you have to. Cross your fingers. Say a prayer. Think of a basket of kittens. But do not give in to the fear..."
Rooting for the Rays
At least until the WS. I can’t resist an underdog!
I'm rooting for the Tigers
I still haven’t forgiven the Rays for signing Manny this off-season, and, hey, Max Scherzer.

Rays
I think they are the favorite. I love their pitching so much. Moore, Shields, Price, Hellickson. Filthy.
Next year they'll win the AL East for the 3rd time in 5 years
Truly incredible with their limitations financially.
Just giving you guys a hard time
But if Boston was in the playofs i’d expect to see no Red Sox option either.
Good point
btw what time do the Sox play tonight? :)))

Well,
and luckycc, and a few other posters who don’t really come around anymore.
Goldschmidt happens.
No one
If it’s not the Dbacks, I don’t care. I will care, though, when I find out what team we’re facing in the World Series.
Joe Saunders: "They played a really good game, so hats off to us"
Anyone but the Yankees
If I had to pick one it would be the Rays since they play in such a tough division
RAYS!!!!
GO RAYS! In case I haven’t said that here lately. LOL. Love their young pitching! Moore, Shields, Price, Hellickson! Would love to see them get a chance to pitch in the World Series. Come on, that would be awesome. All these young hotshot pitchers getting to pitch in the World Series?? We’d really find out what they’re made of then, eh?
BTW
You know the DBacks already played the Tigers this season, right? We even faced Verlander. And as I recall he shredded the DBacks to the tune of around 14 strikeouts. Or something like that. And I think we also had a bull pen implosion in that game. This is not something I would like to see repeated.
Yeah,
I’m all for never facing Justin Verlander ever again.

Not the Yankees!
Beyond that, probably the Rays, but I’m pretty flexible.

Tampa Bay
you’re not a human being if you’re not rooting for them. But I wouldn’t mind Texas too much either. Too bad they have to play each other in the ALDS

Then
I will gladly not be a human being if it means I have to root for the Rays.
Tomorrow is another day.
Rays are my second favorite team (although I hardly follow them at all).
They are our expansion bros, and they’re the prototypical easy-to-root-for team. Small market, low payroll, great young talent, smart front office.

BJ Upton
decided to pull a Willie Bloomquist today
and ended up possibly costing his team the win

That's the exact
same way for me. Hardly follow them, but if I don’t have the Dbacks as an option, I’ll pick them
