Replica Ring Exchange Marketplace Extravaganza
There seems to be an opportunity for exchanges, with the 2001 Championship Reunion Weekend coming up. On Saturday 9/10, the Diamondbacks will be giving out replica championship rings to the first 25,000 fans.
Unfortunately, not everyone can attend the game (whether it's because they're working, or don't live in the city). Some people would still like an opportunity to get this ring. I'm sure there must be some people going to this game that have no want for the ring, or going with a significant other and don't want two.
So this FanPost is to connect people who want a ring with people who have an extra to give away. This is only to connect the two sides. The SnakePit or I are not responsible for any losses that may occur due to an exchange. If you want to pay for your ring, or give a piece of merchandise in return, then that is up to you to negotiate with a potential ring giver.
I'll give this a bump when we get closer to the game, but I thought I'd get it up now so people can have a chance to maybe make some connections early.

I'd like one
and I’m willing to work out an exchange of money/merchandise, depending on the cost.
Tomorrow is another day.
I'll be going to that game so if there's a way for me to get another ring, I'll do so

I'd really love one too
since the ’01 WS was what got me into the Diamondbacks. I have, or can get, signed baseballs or cards in return.

Rings
It would seem one could just buy a few cheap tickets to the game, go in, collect ring, exit and enter again with another cheap ticket to get another ring. I think the lowest priced tickets are around $15, so if a ring was worth that much to anyone, maybe those going to the game (Rockstarr12, me, others?), could pick up a few extra.
There is also a chance to win a REAL ring:

Is there normally a limit of 2 or 4 per person?
Or would you go to other doors? I imagine the lines’ll be quite long…

We would have to ask someone who gets there early
I rarely make it there before the first pitch so I haven’t collected many give-sways. I would have guessed that you could go in one gate, collect ring, exit and go back in to another gate using super cheap ticket for the second ring. But have never tried it.

This one, I bet you'll have to get there when
the gates open, two hours early. For every real Dback fan, there’ll be someone who knows how valuable these are to fans and will hawk them.

I am hoping to get there early enough.
I am scheduled of work on the west side at 3pm. But, my boss said I could leave at 2pm if I wanted. Hopefully my friends can get there ahead of me.
I'll talk to the friend I am going with
Being a Red Sox fan he might be willing to sell/trade.
I'd be interested
in attaining one or two rings (second one for my father). The biggest trade chips I have are Missoula Osprey collectables. Perhaps someone might be interested in something Goldschmidt?

I did mention this to my friend who is going with me
His team is the Red Sox. (Sigh.) When I said people here might be willing to buy or trade memorabilia I got an interested “hmmmmm” from him. I’ll ask again when I talk to him tomorrow.
I was out of town in '01
away at college, and I’m out of town now due to my career choice. But that’s life. I’d be willing to work something out with someone for a replica ring. I still tear up everytime I see ’01 WS highlights!
Possibly interested in trading my mom's
2001 Champ ring replica for a Tatman bobblehead. If the DBacks clinch, I’ll be at the USC game on the 24th.

There are more fans here today at 3pm
Than at most games…..
We got here at 2:15, and the lines were already filled with more than 25,000 people!!! I feel bad for anyone who waited in the heat in those long queues who didn’t get the coveted ring.

My freidn may be checking in here
He said he is open to a trade for the replica ring. He is a Red Sox fan, so if any of you happen to have any Red Sox memorabilia to trade, you might be the winners.
When is your next game?
Too bad we didn’t get to meet up beforehand

Hey
Long time lurker, brand new poster here. Been reading and being entertained by you guys for about a season and half now and love it! Not sure if this is appropriate here, but thought I would try. I have an extra Gibby bobblehead if anyone here wants to trade their Tatman bobble from tonight’s game. Live in Mesa and willing to drive. Let me know everyone, and see you around the pit!
Born and raised in Arizona, I am what you may a call a "homer"..get over it ;-)
