Do I believe yet? Getting there. Already this month, the Diamondbacks have beaten Clayton Kershaw, Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay. That's four of the nine NL pitchers with an ERA of three or better, who've been L'd by Arizona, in about half a month. If they can take down a fifth this afternoon in Lee, there will be few who can argue - even over on Philly2Philly.com - the team has genuine play-off potential. Heck, we currently are 9-4 versus the three teams we're most likely to encounter there, with winning records against each of the Braves, Brewers and Phillies. Is it wrong to think we might not be this year's "Just happy to be here" team? But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Beat Lee first.

And before anyone asks, Cliff Lee has brutalized left-handed bats this afternoon, which is why there's no spot for Miguel Montero, Gerardo Parra or Kelly Johnson this afternoon. @InGibbyWeTrust. He could run out Sean Burroughs and eight clones there today, and having won seven games in a row, we would be in no position to criticize St. Kirk. Whatever he is doing is alright by me - I brook no argument to the contrary at this point. But let's be honest: this is still bot a game I expect to win. Sure would be nice to do so though... And if the Braves can demoralize the Giants still further, I wouldn't object.
