At the beginning of the year, no one could've predicted the importance of this upcoming series featuring Arizona and San Francisco.  All the "experts" had us finishing in last, like always.  Apparently, Kirk Gibson's squad thought otherwise.  

We'll get a look at some of the new players, such as Paul Goldschmidt, Jason Marquis, and Brad Ziegler.  In 3 days, AZ could be anywhere from 5 games back, to 1 game up.  This series could symbolize the end of the 2011 season, looking back later on, or the start of a new era for Arizona baseball.

C'mon!  Let's really get behind our hometown Diamondbacks!  Unfortunately the series will be played in San Francisco, so our team will likely have to play an in environment where the Giants will have a sold out crowd cheering them on, but this road trip won't last forever.  This is the beginning of the 2011 Arizona Diamondbacks Pt 2.  GO DBACKS!
