Right now the Diamondbacks are 4 behind the Giants for the division and 3.5 behind the Braves for the NL Wild Card. For a while it seemed like the Braves were going to run away with it, but now not so much. The D'backs still have a shot at it. Yes, on paper the Braves are a better and deeper team. Although they probably are the better team, it's still something to think about.
As far as strength of schedule, we have the advantage. The D'backs have the 5th easiest schedule at .483 and the Braves have the 18th easiest at .504. You could argue on which division is better. It's also worth noting that we play San Diego and LA 25 more times combined.
I should also mention that Atlanta only plays Philadelphia 6 more times and Atlanta has three more against us, all of those we play on the road.....Ahhh shucks!
So considering those factors and top that off with San Francisco's pitching. What do you think this team has a better shot at? The division or the Wild card, and why?
