The Diamondbacks seem to be pretty up and down the past few weeks, not a lot of stability.

• [The Denver Post] Rockies beat Diamondbacks 8-4 as trade talk increases - Meanwhile, the Rockies are wondering who will be gone from their team when August starts. Man, it's kind of nice not to worry as much about that at this point in the season.

• [DBacks.com] Gibson drops in on Drew in hospital - Drew was under some pretty heavy pain medication, and it sounds like Gibby was giving him some guff, but Gibby said Drew's in pretty good spirits about the injury.

• [AZ Central] Diamondbacks' Kirk Gibson seeks more offensive production - Our offense has been down a bit since the All Star break, and with the team facing division opponents for the next couple weeks, they'll need to get the bats going again.
