The other day, my husband poked fun at me for wanting to save every scrap of printed paper bearing an All Star logo, and asked "WHY?"
"To add to my collection of ephemera of course!"
He looked up the word:
Ephemera is transitory written and printed matter not intended to be retained or preserved. The word derives from the Greek, meaning things lasting no more than a day.
and pointed out that it was "not intended to be retained"
It may not be valuable or prized to most, but over the years I have amassed a closet full "stuff" that I can't quite categorize into a legitimate collection.
So this leaves me wondering...
Is anyone else is mildly obsessed with this stuff?
I think the poll limits you to a single selection, and I am not sure if you can "vote" twice, but speak up and let me know if you are a fellow weirdo with a box (or closet full) of baseball stuff. And let me know what your most valued or oddest baseball collectible is.
Please, do not let me be the ONLY one with this peculiar affliction, or I will be banned from hoarding this stuff and may be sentenced to tossing out my prized possessions.
