One of the best bats in the minor leagues this year belongs to Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt. Currently hitting .330/.451/.670 for Double-A Mobile, Goldschmidt is destroying Southern League pitching while answering questions raised following his impressive '10 performance in the California League. I had him at a B- pre-season. He’s at MINIMUM a B+ now, probably already an A-….by the end of the year, barring a huge slump or horrible injury, he’ll get an A-. There is some chance he could get a straight A but I usually reserve that for guys who have some speed to go with the power, or who are very young for their levels.
