Having basically written off this game right up until the ninth, the eventual loss didn't seem quite as bad, from a fan perspective. If we'd won, sure, it'd have been great, but the extra innings were entirely unexpected - true bonus baseball. On the other hand, they could just have lost in nine innings and saved us all a lot of time.
