That game, what can you say about that? Well, many of the things we said about the game on Sunday. Good to see the team recover and not give in, and I'm certainly happier to see the team win 13-8 than lose in any manner. But it's a little hard on the nerves.
Recaps:
-
[DBacks.com] D-backs slug their way past Cardinals - I don't think there's much better word to describe this than "slugfest." 30 hits, 6 home runs, 21 runs. As the article says, "It may not have been a pretty win..."
-
[FSN Arizona] Kirk Gibson heats up, and so do Diamondbacks - Man, for a game where so much happened, there's a lot of focus on Gibby getting ejected.
-
[AZ Central] Arizona Diamondbacks, Kirk Gibson show firepower in win over St. Louis Cardinals - See what I mean? "If you're going to get tossed, you might as well get your money's worth."

[D'Backs Central] What in the World is Going on With Juan Gutierrez? - If there was a motto for the bullpen, it may well be this. (I, for one, blame Carmen Sandiego.)

[FanGraphs] Justin Upton Settling Into 2011 - It's early, of course. But it's nice to see, especially after- if I recall- he's had some slow starts before.
-
[Visalia Times-Delta] Rawhide's Tyler Skaggs out to prove naysayers wrong - There are naysayers? Well, yes, the return from the Haren trade was less than hoped, but come on, any disappointment wasn't due to Skaggs...
-
[DBacks.com] D-backs slugger Justin Upton named official All-Star Game FanFest spokesperson - Interesting to see Upton and Gonzo as our PR reps for the All-Star Game- face of the franchise new and old? Also, if you've got some free time tomorrow, MLB will be running a All-Star FanFest Ticket Hunt in Phoenix.
