Gameday Thread, NLDS #3 OVERFLOW: 10/4 vs Brewers

Ah, Lead! How we hath missed you, dear friend Lead! Arizona has an 8-1 lead going into the 6th inning. Miguel Montero has two RBIs, Josh Collmenter is cruising, and of course, it wouldn't be a Diamondbacks game without an out on the basepaths (Justin Upton out at home).

Oh, and did I mention Paul Goldschmidt hit a grand slam? Looks like Glove Tossing is becoming an NLDS tradition...

Ummm lots of modular arithmetic

And theories involving coprime numbers and their modular congruencies.

And in case you’re wondering, yes, I did make this sound much more difficult than it really is.

understands that there are other teams besides the Red Sox and Yankees. They seem to be much more balanced in their coverage.

Exactly.

ESPN doesn’t have enough air time to talk too in depth about all teams. So they stick to the teams with the most fans, Red Sox/Yanks/Phillies etc. Then the rest of the time it’s all about football. I mean on Sunday, Sportscenter was about 95% 4TH WEEK football and 5% PLAYOFF baseball.

I love football as much as anyone but I know there is a difference between playoff baseball and first quarter of the season football.

Something important about Marcum's glove toss

That homerun was not a no doubter, it just cleared the fence opposite field. Instead of showing up his catcher and showing his exasperation, he should have been getting ready to back up 3rd.

This is yet another unsurprisingly great point.

Pretty depressing return for Brett Lawrie, as it turns out. You made the pitch dude, if you didn’t want to make it, you shouldn’t have. Your fault.
