Keith Law Ranks D-Backs Farm System 13th
"13. Arizona Diamondbacks
I admit to liking this system more than most, but I loved their 2009 draft haul and several of those players had strong full-season debuts. Jarrod Parker's promising return in instructional league -- with velocity as good as ever and improved lower-body strength -- is also a factor in putting them in the top half of farm systems, given that he's their one impact prospect who might see the majors this year."

not sure how exactly i feel about keith law
but it’s definitely true that our farm is moving up the ranks, relative to other farms. by the end of next year, i think we could easily be a consensus top 10 system
what is with the love
for the red sox system? their guys are just not that impressive to me…even after trading away three of their top 10 prospects, they are STILL the 11th best system?
c’mon keith law….
I agree, they even lost their best prospect Casey Kelly.
Kelly is not as good as Parker. I don’t remember Keith Law ever liking the D’back system before though.
Anthony Ranaudo is a bona fide top-of-a-system prospect
And the depth that they created, particularly in the 2010 draft, by paying over-slot bonuses means that while they may not have a bevy of elite talent at the top of the system, they do have quality throughout. I can’t complain with that ranking at all. When Kolbrin Vitek, your first-round pick of the most recent year’s draft, is ninth in your system, you have a very good system.

...or you just had a poor first round draft pick?

Too little data
First-round picks, particularly ones well-regarded by the industry, tend to be reported in the top-6 or so, often in the top-3 region.
