Vintage Base Ball - Practice on Saturday

PrintWe're going to start practicing this coming Saturday (9/4).
Where?
When?
Saturday, at 10am (to beat the heat)
What should I bring?
The only thing you NEED to bring is water, since it will most likely still get hot. Wear light workout clothes to prevent heat sickness. Other than that, I'll bring the ball and bat, and you don't need gloves.

I just texted her saying I can’t work Saturdays, but Sunday is fine. She has me on for both th 8th and 11th. I will try to get someone to cover my shift on the 11th. Can we (meaning The Tucson Brigade) meet some place locally?

you guys should practice with actual vintage balls. As kishi said, they are softer which is how we can play without gloves. Likewise, we’ll have to use wooden bats. If you guys want to practice down there, then that’s good, but it’ll be best to use the right equipment so there’s isn’t a shock come game time.

Conversely
If we use the harder more Xtreme modern equipment, then using softer balls will be a cinch.
Though in all seriousness, I THINK I have a softer little league ball somewhere. Probably not exactly right, but it’s somethin.

We couldn’t get enough people, so we’re getting picked up by another team. We’ll have a year to practice and recruit, and we’ll start up a team of our own next season.
