Charity Begins at Chase Field: Bobbleheads and Buddies
If you are looking for a gift for that discerning D-backs fan and want to support a good cause, you might want to think about buying one of the 2,000 autographed Luis Gonzalez bobbleheads being sold of during tonight's broadcast, to benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. The bobblers are $50 each, plus s&h, and childrens' charities benefitting from the expected $100,000 to be raised will include non-profit organizations such as Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix
Each bobblehead will include a voucher for two Upper Level game tickets to any of the remaining D-backs' games at Chase Field this season. Fans can purchase up to two bobbleheads per transaction by dialing 602.462.3899 or 800.952.5334 beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday. Sales will continue during FOX Sports Arizona's pre-game show and throughout the broadcast -Luis will be the color analyst alongside Daron Sutton. Phone lines will remain open until the bobbleheads sell out.
Also on the charitable front, the Diamondbacks got a $5,000 grant from Pepsi to help fund the "Batter up with Buddies" project, which would match Arizona's youth with developmental disabilities into friendships with student volunteers. It was the team's entry in the Pepsi Refresh program, where all 30 team submitted programs to be voted on by fans. The D-backs didn't win (let's face it, Arizona never wins anything decided by popular vote), with the $200,000 first prize going to Minnesota, but still got a consolation prize from Pepsi.

This is pretty cool
Is it the same bobblehead they gave out a couple weeks ago, or special edition one (in addition to being an auto)?
'Skins, I forbid you from hitting on Ramona!
AFAIK, it's the one given out at SnakePitFest
I certainly do not fancy having to autograph 2,000 anything, so kudos to Gonzo for that!

I love charity things like this.
Very little cost to the providing party and still can bring in quite a bit of money, while the price isn’t incredibly outrageous, especially to those that collect bobbleheads. I’d definitely grab one if I lived in Az.
Or alternatively
all the players could give up their wages for a week and make much more for charity.
I've got very catholic taste in music. I like anything by the Pope.
