The Upton Injury

Some of you know this, some may not, but during tonight's game, Justin Upton left in the middle of the fifth inning with tightness in his hip.

Star-divide

The injury is said to be day-to-day, but I'm not so sure and here's why.

Upton has had side problems already in his career, if you remember last year, his injury was suppose to be day-to-day but it turned into a month and a half situation. If this happens, at least it helps our tankapalooza chances!

You know how he's on a 13 game hitting-streak?

Since he’s going to miss a few days, does that mean his hitting-streak is over, or does that it continue when he starts playing again?

The streak

only counts in games where he has an at-bat (it might be a plate appearance, but I doubt it). So, it’ll resume when he returns.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like mouth?

From the rulebook:
GUIDELINES FOR CUMULATIVE PERFORMANCE RECORDS

10.24 CONSECUTIVE HITTING STREAKS.

(a) A consecutive hitting streak shall not be terminated if the plate appearance results in a base on balls, hit batsman, defensive interference or a sacrifice bunt. A sacrifice fly shall terminate the streak.

(b) CONSECUTIVE GAME HITTING STREAKS. A consecutive game hitting streak shall not be terminated if all the player’s plate appearances (one or more) result in a base on balls, hit batsman, defensive interference or a sacrifice bunt. The streak shall terminate if the player has a sacrifice fly and no hit. The player’s individual consecutive game hitting streak shall be determined by the consecutive games in which the player appears and is not determined by his club’s games.

This isn't really deserving of an entire FanPost.

It’d be better off mentioned as a comment in SnakeBytes.
