SnakeBytes, 7/22: Sweep Edition
A sweep. That's... Well, it's just sort of depressing that it took that long, but it's great to see the team actually pull it off. And to do it by beating the Mets, the least-favorite team of my childhood, is even better. Good series, guys. You can call this a legitimate, actual win streak, Gibby. Now take that momentum and carry it on to the next game.
Recaps:

[nj.com] After 14 punchless innings, Mets lose, 4-3, to complete sweep by Arizona Diamondbacks - I'm just amazed- 8 scoreless innings from the bullpen?
-
[azcentral.com] Arizona Diamondbacks sweep New York Mets on Chris Snyder's walk-off hit in 14th inning - "They played like a very good team today." We haven't seen enough of that recently.

- [YumaSun] Baseball league dissolves Yuma Scorpions agreement - Apparently Yuma's GBL franchise hasn't been living up to their responsibilities.
-
[azcentral.com] No shortage of players willing to sacrifice to play in Arena Football League - Sort of along a similar line, here's a look at what it's like to play arena football. It's professional sports, but it's not nearly as glamorous or high paying as playing in the "big four" leagues.

IIRC
Weren’t there some concerns about Timmay’s delivery mechanics when he came up? Could those be catching up?
Bad doormat! No stock options!
There were certainly concerns
About his pitch-counts. Last year, as a 23-24 year old, he had five games where he threw over 120 pitches, and peaked at 138.

We’ve also had Scott Hairston, both Hernandezes, Andy Benes, etc.

best thing about last night
chris snyder just got put back on the radar for trades.
Haiku are simple,
But they often don't make sense,
Refrigerator.
More trade rumors:
According to Fox Sports, the Yankees, Phillies, Cardinals, Twins and Tigers are all interested in Haren. Of those teams, ugh, I guess the Twins? Just not the Yankees or the Phillies.
Also, apparently the Dodgers asked about Cody Ross. This isn’t DBacks related, obviously, I just wanted to take another opportunity to state how much I dislike Cody Ross and his stupid beady little eyes. That’s all.
"Hey, I don't mean to rush you, but you are keeping two civilizations waiting!"

Hopefully she’ll keep playing the game.

I think the Diamondbacks should trade Dan Haren and Adam LaRoche
to the Rockies

You can have half the roster of Colorado Springs
If you’re not including Chacin, who was just sent down today, McKenry, Nelson and Rogers are the only true prospects down there. And Ubaldo has sucked lately. But no U for you
