Was anyone else surprised by this move?  I had thought that Parra had won the 4th OF job out of training camp but instead of Gillespie being sent down, GP gets the ticket to Reno instead.

GP certinly gives it his all on defense, yet it seems like he gives away too many AB's and maybe that's why he's getting his ticket punched back to AAA, or is it a matter of Gillespie simply outplaying him at this level?  I won't try and go into a stats breakdown here because Gillespie's is such a small sample size (at this level) to use as an effective comparison and I don't want to use the Reno numbers since they show that they tend to be inflated a bit.  GP certainly had his moments, but I guess there weren't enough sustained moments.
