Reds 13, Dbacks 7
I didnt keep score, this is mostly repeating texts I sent people.
Game time temp in Cinncinati 54*, in TEP (they said, but didnt feel like) 76*. Saw some people in coats and all bundled up. This one person had her hood on and everything. It was sad. Of course, they included calling TEP "The Pride of Pima County."
Attendance was 6043. I was in section 122, where I sat for Sidewinders games (I was at the top though, for Sidewinders I was first row).
In the 1st inning there was a bloop single by Conor that was wind aided. There were no clouds, so it was not stormy. It reminded me of something Schulte said last week, that TEP reminds him of Candlestick at times with the wind. Dbacks loaded the bases in the bottom of the 1st, with no runs to show. 2-0 Reds
Chris Burke had a walk, sac fly and tripled. Where was this offense when he was in AZ? Oh wait, hes the ST MVP...
Not impressed by E. Jackson today. Gave up 6 runs, a wildpitch scoring a run, not sure how many he walked.
Down 7-0 after the 3rd and people were starting to leave. By the 8th inning there were probably 2500 people left. The Reds fans, though outnumbered, were louder than the Dbacks fans.
Dbacks finally scored on a Parra double that the Reds CF lost in the sun. CoJack would follow with a popup. Montero hit a single up the middle scoring Parra. Allen walked in a 10-12 pitch AB. Abrue then lined out to RF to end it. 7-2 going to the top 4th.
Burke hit an RBI triple in the top of the 5th. Down 8-2
Coughlin hit a 2 run double to make it 8 to 5 in the 5th. Only to have Dbacks pitching give up a 2 run hr in the next half inning.
I left after the 8th, it was 10-5. The final was 13-7.
And there were two Es. One by the SS Rogers in the 6th (I believe) -fielding. The other by Roberts (I didnt know he was charged an E until I just looked at the boxscore-missed catch).
Gillespie made some really nice catches. There was a diving grab he made that would have been on a highlight real (following anything the Yankees or Red Sox did, of course.)

Pretty nasty wind today.
Sucks to finally lose. :-(
I keep trying to reset my password to "penis", but it keeps telling me "too short".
Nice to have an eyewitness acc't.
Thanks, Justin!
I’m assuming Jim will have his own detailed recap, but if he doesn’t, we can go ahead and FP this.

Off topic,
but does anyone remember the name of that pitcher from Italy we signed last year?
Only five players have averaged 25 and 10 in their playoff careers. One of them, Dirk Nowitzki.
