Fan Fest Loot

What did everyone get for Fan Fest? I got a decent haul.

Here is my complete list:

2 neon Fandemonium shirts (people will love the "Scratchers sold here" banner on 'em

2 Dbacks plates

1 James Skelton Locker plate, styrofoam

1 Travis Blackley Locker plate, styrofoam

1 2008 Season ticket holder free gift (the polo shirt)

1 July 25 DBacks/Pirates lineup card signed by AJ Hinch

I thought once again about a Max Scherzer promotional sign but where would I put something that huge? I could not find the world famous Phoenix hot dog though.

I wanted to get one from a game I must have been at. July 25 had to have been a game I was at since I was teaching summer school at the time.

I picked up

some purple gear (gasp!):

1) Autographed El Duque home jersey
2) Autographed Rick Schu purple cap (with American flag patch)

But the best part was getting this:

My loot

I came away with:

A sheet of uncut Pepsi DBacks cards

A purple Locker plate of Danny Klassen (anyone remember him? He is a longtime fave of mine and he and I became friends through the years)

A styrofoam red locker plate of my pal Jeff Salazar

A card of Salazar’s I needed for my collection of his cards

Otherwise, my day was filled with doing the photo sessions and I got all but two of them: We missed out on Zavada/CY/Conor because the line was cut short before we could get to them and their time ran out; We missed Mel Stottlemyre Junior and Justin Upton too due to time restraints. I came away with two pix with Augie though :) One just me and him and when his line dwindled, I went and got him, LaRoche, and Porter with me :)

subway early signings

i got haren & gonzo to sign a game-used helmet i picked up at “yard sale”. my goal is to get 30 sigs on it, so i guess i’ve got 28 to go. i had some friends from out-of-town visit & by the time i was finished with monster line, they wanted to leave. fantastic, i basically missed out on everything else i wanted to do!! i guess i couldve told them see you another year.

i heard there was “los dbacks” authentic jerseys on sale for $30. thats nice bc i bought mine at $160 with the employee 40% off discount. full retail for those suckers were $250+. dang, i’m a sucker.

stuff i missed were the choice bobbleheads which were being sold at $3 – $25. i thought i got there early, but to get any of the elite rare stuff, you gotta get there at 9:02 (sprinting) if they open the gates at 9:00.

I was just about to say...

I never saw any of the Bobbleheads or Los Dbacks jerseys…darn it, I could have had me a jersey if that were the case…I know someone bought Augie’s via online auction after that game but I could had snagged Roberts’s or Zavada’s…

So how much did you guys spend? Did you have spending limits already identified? I am not good at yard sales where I basically would like or want everything.
