Dana Eveland DFAed
So sez MLBTradeRumors.com:

This is somewhat schadenfreudular (yes I know that's not a word) since he was one of the pieces in the Haren trade. What is the likelihood of the DBacks picking him back up, especially since he's a lefty? Our #5 spot in the rotation is definitely a toss-up at this point. Eveland might have as good a chance as Buckner, Mulvey, Augenstein, or the other dude to nail it down.
Jim, you should ask Eric's brother Josh about Eveland during your interview.

It would be an intriguing add.
He had a good season, but mostly because of luck…

He still has
A career ERA of 3.13 in the minors over 558 innings. It’d be a pretty big disappointment if he can’t translate that into the MLB.
Anyone think his finger injury in 2007 has anything to do with it? I’m not much of a buff on injuries.
Wear your own fur.
No no no no no no no
I donnnnnnnnnnnt want him back…

I'd say Buckner has the inside track
He was awesome in the minors last year, and good in the majors down the stretch. If we can sign Eveland to a minor league deal, it would be a good backup plan though.
This

I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused....
Eveland just traded
To the Blue Jays for future cash or player. No such luck. If only we could have done this with EB…
