Then which would you take? We’re aware of the necessity of getting people out, but the necessity of efficiency is big as well.

With equal ERAs
It’s a no brainer.
But strikeouts usually take a lot of pitches and they usually also imply a lower ERA.
Lowest of any pitcher listed
So sounds about right. Be interesting to see a graph plotting all the pitch numbers – I bet he had more long ABs against him than anyone else. I recall a lot of fouling off of pitches on two strike counts.
